Vijendra Gairola

Founder, Executive Chairman, Mumbai, India

A veteran banker and cross-border trade professional with over 20 years of experience in developing business in multiple geographies such as Canada, India, Mexico, Chile, Peru and Singapore. He has an MBA from Schulich School of Business, Toronto, Canada. He was the chief representative for India with the Export Development Canada for more than 5 years. He started his career in Banking with Citibank and has worked with CIBC and Scotiabank.

David Shplit

Chief Business Officer, Toronto, Canada

After practicing in a clinical setting for over 10 years, David started in the Canadian medical cannabis sector in 2013 as an early mover, pioneering novel and first-of-their kind solutions across various strata from seed to sale. The result of these activities, including three successful exits, have manifested into a breadth and depth of operational and commercial expertise. David has a deep sense of social responsibility combined with a passion of building tremendous value for shareholders.

Jay McMillan

Chief Development Officer, Toronto, Canada

He is the founder and CEO at UberGreen Inc. and has more than 8 years of experience within the legal cannabis industry in Canada, US, and international markets. Jay served as Chief Development Officer at HEXO Corp. (acquired by Tilray Brands) where he joined the cannabis industry as HEXO employee #14. Jay’s oversight of R&D, Innovation, Commercialization, Category Management, and Strategic Business Development led to significant contributions to the company’s growth and success. Part of Jay’s focus includes negotiating strategic alliances and partnerships with provincial boards, key CPG joint ventures and partnerships including the founding of Truss Beverages, a joint venture with Molson Coors, all while building out the product portfolio and expanding the innovation platform. With more than 25 years of international leadership and business development experience, Jay currently serves as Chairman of the Board with Christina Lake Cannabis in addition to other capacities with other Board of Directors and Strategic Advisory Boards within the cannabis and health care spaces.

Bhavik Mehta

Strategy, Mumbai, India

A health and fitness enthusiast with an academic background in Business & Engineering, Bhavik previously worked as the chief strategist at UACTIV and worked in product strategy with HSBC Bank, New York. At UACTIV he was was responsible for ideation, strategy and technology, leading agile cross-functional teams to effectively create and execute business strategy. At HSBC, Bhavik ensured compliance with government regulations and conducted a federally required in depth product review, and addressed the risks identified to make sure products are compliant with company & regulatory process.

Mohit Salvankar

Finance Controller, Mumbai, India

A qualified Chartered Accountant (CA), Mohit is a finance aficionado. He is currently pursuing to become a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and has previously worked as the Finance Controller at Novel and as a Financial Audit Executive at practicing CA firms. At Novel, he was responsible for managing financial operations and implementation including P&L management, taxation, and financial reporting. At Practicing CA firm, he worked on consulting clients on implementation of internal controls and stand operating procedures, managing team of trainee and staff to finalize the audits, consulting on tax management and guiding clients of automation of MIS reporting process.
